Generate a Home Energy Score faster with Snugg Pro’s Simple Score
Last fall, Snugg Pro released Simple Score, an easy and affordable way for Home Energy Score assessors to generate a Home Energy Score using Snugg Pro. Starting at $15 per single Home Energy Score, Simple Score saves assessors time by allowing them to generate a Home Energy Score without having to perform a comprehensive home energy audit.
Last week, we released seven significant improvements to Simple Score, allowing assessors to more easily generate a Home Energy Score.
Simple Score Improvement #1: All new accounts come with a sample Simple Score job
In the same way that we provide two free sample audit jobs with every new account, we now provide one free sample Simple Score job. This allows new users to learn Snugg Pro’s features for free.
Simple Score Improvement #2: Better differentiator between Simple Scores and audit jobs
We now provide better differentiation between score jobs and audit jobs on the jobs page. You’ll notice a ‘Score’ icon for all Simple Score jobs.
Simple Score Improvement #3: Stages are no longer used to generate a Simple Score
Now Simple Scores don't show the 'Final Score' in the report, only initial and alternative, streamlining and speeding up the process.
Simple Score jobs are set by default to the 'Uncategorized' stage and the stage field has been removed from the job creation form and job information overlay. This reduces the number of steps required to generate a Home Energy Score, saving you time and effort.
Simple Score Improvement #4: Ability to toggle the alternative score on and off
A new report element now allows you to toggle the alternative score on and off. This toggle is only visible if the HES page is turned on in the report and the alternative score is turned on by default. This is helpful for Home Energy Scores generated for real estate purposes, allowing a seller to display a Home Energy Score without improvements.
It is also visible on the Get HES Score section of the report:
Simple Score Improvement #5: Improvements to HES section of the report when no assessor ID is detected
When no assessor ID is detected, an assessor can now enter their credentials directly on the report screen.

Simple Score Improvement #6: If a Simple Score as has already been obtained for the home, the Simple Score is locked down
If a Simple Score has already been obtained for the home, the Simple Score is now locked down. This feature prevents the job from being modeled again and makes the job read-only.
Simple Score Improvement #7: Program & company logos are removed from HES pages
The following pages no longer have company and program logo:
- HES Score page
- HES Recommendation page
- HES Home Facts 1 page
How to get access to Simple Score
Snugg Pro users have two Home Energy Score options within Snugg Pro. They can either complete a full home energy audit with the Home Energy Score included in the report, or they can quickly generate a standalone Home Energy Score without a full audit.
