DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association and KPMG LLP today announced the presenting early stage and growth companies for the 29th annual Venture Capital in the Rockies Winter conference (VCIR Winter 2012). This year’s conference features 24 promising companies based in the Rocky Mountain region that will present in two tracks – one for information technology and consumer Internet companies and the other for clean technology companies.

The VCIR Winter 2012 conference will be held at the Park Hyatt in Beaver Creek, Colorado, February 28-March 1. The selected companies come from the clean technology, consumer technology, data/storage, financial, telecommunications, and information technology industries, among others.

“As the longest running capital conference in the Rocky Mountain region, the VCIR Winter conference serves as a testament that this region is a great place to start and run companies,” said David Eberly, partner, KPMG LLP and conference co-chairman.

Jeff Evans, founder of MountainVision, a company that provides motivational speaking events as well as international trekking adventures, will give this year’s opening keynote.

“The VCIR 2012 Winter conference is a premier event for both promising companies and attendees,” said Brian Wallace, conference co-chairman and managing partner of Access Venture Partners, a Denver-based venture capital firm. “This year’s presenting companies are both diverse in their stages of funding and the industries they represent. They demonstrate the entrepreneurial talent and depth found in the region.”
