Collaboration Makes Home Performance Happen

Rocky Mountain Utility Efficiency Exchange 2012

Snugg Home was a thread that ran through the 6th Annual Rocky Mountain Utility Efficiency Exchange   on October 10 - 12th, 2012 in Aspen, CO.   Snugg Home’s role as a technology partner and market innovator was highlighted in a panel on technology trends in utility programs, in a presentation on collaboration as a driver of program success, and in a poster session highlighting innovative aspects of the Snugg Home’s energy assessment in-home auditing tool.

The panel on technology focused on how software is moving energy efficiency and demand side management programs forward and supporting or even pushing innovation. Ann Livingston of Snugg Home co-presented with Anne Lutz of Longmont Power and Communications as well as Marty Treadway of EnergySmart Colorado. Joani Matranga of the Colorado Energy Office moderated the panel. Panel topics covered two components of the Snugg Home platform, the residential auditing tool and the customer relations management (CRM) functions.

Snugg Home’s software was also highlighted in a presentation by Jackie Ducharme of Xcel Energy and Andy Mazal of Populus. The presentation "Collaboration Makes Home Performance Happen" included information on Snugg Home’s role within the Xcel Home Energy Audit Program , the Xcel Home Performance with Energy Star program, the Boulder County EnergySmart program, and an energy advisor pilot program run by Populus and sponsored by Xcel Energy. 

Finally, Snugg Home’s technology was highlighted in a poster session. This provided an opportunity to discuss the software platform with utility and other program managers as well as an opportunity to highlight how the in-home auditing tool can support contractors and auditors whether they are participating in a program or working independently.
