When changing the base or improved values on the refine screen, you must model it again to get the final results. You must also adjust the cost of the upgrade to reflect the correct type that you are specifying.

Upgrade Option 1: Gas Instantaneous (tankless) Water Heater (This is the default if the Base unit is a Gas or Propane tank) - on the refine screen, edit the improved energy values to 82 EF.

Upgrade Option 2: Newer Gas Storage Water Heater - on refine screen, edit the improved energy values to 67 EF - (Direct vented, 40-gallon tank).

Upgrade Option 3: Solar Thermal System (with an 80% solar fraction (the solar covers 80% of the load and 20% is by a gas tankless backup). The base energy value is adjusted to 39 EF, the improved energy value is 82. (Our system does not recognize an EF of higher than 82 for gas systems, so the base value must be lowered to show the proper savings for solar).
