It is sometimes necessary to use simple entry for utility bills if you do not have access to full detailed bills. This is a better choice than using no bills.

The highest summer bill will depend on your region.

In hot climates the highest summer bill will usually reflect the cost of air conditioning.

In cooler climates, homes with no air conditioning, the highest summer bill might be the close to or the same as the lowest monthly electric bill. Although running fans during the hottest months should show an increase from the edge months when no fans are needed.

Please note that the simple entry bills are entered as dollars.

In climates where you have hot summers and cold winters, the summer and winter bills could be very similar, depending on the fuel type.

For all-electric heat, you only have one entry for the winter bills

For heating fuels you enter both a high and low heating bills.

Payment plan monthly bills should not be used. Some utilities offer homeowners a option to pay the same monthly amount all year long. This data is not acceptable for our modeling engine.
