Wind Zone Reference Chart

Snugg Pro defaults the wind zone on all jobs to Zone 2. You can set your templates to the correct zone for your region or change the zone as needed on individual jobs.

LBL β€œN” Factors

Snugg Pro automatically calculates the N factor for you according to the following inputs

  • Number of stories above grade (input fields)

  • Wind Zone (refine screen) Zone 1 - 4

  • Shielding (refine screen) Well shielded, Normal, Exposed

Shielding Definitions

  • Well Shielded: Closely surrounded by other buildings (high-rises)

  • Normal: Surrounded by trees or other buildings

  • Exposed: The dwelling is not surrounded by any objects (open desert or farm areas)

If the N factor needs to be changed, enter the correct wind zone & shielding selections, check to see that you have the correct number of stories above grade entered in the building info - then re-model the job.
